Sous Chef

When she grew up, Chef Alyssa wanted to be a chef.  And that is exactly what she did. 

While watching the Food Network's Alton Brown in her mom's kitchen as a child, Chef Alyssa started by experimenting with food and cooking.  She has has held many chef positions in many restaurants and even ran her own food truck. Alyssa was born in Long Island and moved to Worthington, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus, when she was four years old.  Colorado has been her home for many years living in Denver, Summit County, and now Vail, moving here from Leadville.  Alyssa has an open mind and is a lifelong learner and contributes her success to the chefs she has worked under who literally taught her everything she knows, and her art degree that has led to creativity and her willingness to break the rules in cooking. She loves being a member of the amazing Mountain Standard team and immersing herself in the intense yet fun open kitchen. When not in the kitchen, Alyssa loves to enjoy the mountains snowboarding, hiking, and foraging wild mushrooms.  She also avidly practices Baptiste yoga.
