Chris, known to his friends as Bru, has been with the Mountain Standard bar crew since 2015. However, the food and beverage industry has been a part of his life since the very beginning, he literally grew up in his parents’ restaurant. Bru ventured off from his family’s place in high school to work at a coffee shop and eatery. His favorite job before Mountain Standard was a restaurant in Cape Town, South Africa called Test Kitchen. Bru was born in South Africa and spent his childhood between Vail and South Africa. After high school, Bru worked as an actor, which may have been perfect training for dealing with some of the characters that drink and dine at the Mountain Standard bar. He has a quick wit and great sense of humor. He skis, snowboards, bikes, and plays volleyball. Bru also loves all things outdoors which is why Vail is a perfect place for he and his wife, Megan, to raise their son, Ford with family support (his parents and brother are all back in Vail as well).
